Perhaps one of the more controversial aspects of the UFC system is that there are a number of UFC girls who seem to be doing nothing other than to entertain the people in the audience. Of course someone with feminist leanings will wonder why women are being paraded for the pleasure of an audience that is primarily filled with men. This is one angle to take about the UFC girls and it might bring with it some uncomfortable questions about chauvinism. Although some women have highlighted some concerns about the general role of the UFC girls, the system seems to have worked well and they make the crowd happy. On the other hand one can take everything in their stride and look at the UFC girls as part of the UFC fights event.

Perhaps one would like to comfort oneself with the thought that the UFC Girls are really having fun like everyone else in the room. Alternatively one might see it as a vindication of the allegation that the UFC Girls are just there to titillate and poke fun at themselves. Having too much of an intellectual discussion about the role of the UFC Girls will reduce the light heartedness and fun of the moment. However those who are interested in giving the industry respectability might want to take the issues much further and see whether the men can also be asked to put on a similar show for the ladies. The problem with that proposition is that there might not be enough takers to make it a business opportunity.
